Hawaiian Frozen Salad

A great treat for the summer months

Ingredients:

2 Tbsp cornstarch
½ cup maraschino cherry juice
1 cup water
1 can marshmallow creme (7 oz.)
1 package Dream Whip®
½ cup milk
1 cup chopped maraschino cherries
1 cup crushed pineapple
½ cup chopped nuts
12 or 16 whole maraschino cherries

Instructions:

This is a low-cholesterol salad or dessert that serves 12-16 people. Blend the cornstarch, cherry juice, and water, then cook over heat. Blend with the marshmallow creme and chill at least 2 hours. Beat the Dream Whip® and milk together as instructed on the package, then blend with the chilled mixture and add cherries, pineapple, and nuts (omit the nuts if anyone has allergies).

Spread the ingredients in a 10" square pan and top with whole cherries. Freeze overnight (or at least 8 hours) before serving.
