The Star Wars Saga—Teen Version

“May the Force be with you.”

Overview

The Star Wars saga consists of two space fantasy trilogies that together tell the epic rise, fall, and redemption of Darth Vader.

While often heralded for its exciting battles and breakthrough special effects, the six films are also examples of inspiring storytelling and epic fights of good and evil. Creator George Lucas has said: "I did research to try and distill [traditional] myths down to motifs that are universal... People still react to those stories as they always have."

This study guide will help you discuss some of these deeper themes, motifs, and messages of the Star Wars universe. What does the galaxy far, far away say about the allure of evil, the importance of faith, the path to redemption, and the need for community?
