Overview

Too often the lives of Christians look just like the rest of the world's, reflecting popular television shows like Desperate Housewives, Extreme Makeover, The Apprentice, and CSI. This four-part course will look at how we can live radically different lives that take time for meaningful relationships, reorient our ideas of success, make us an apprentice of Christ, and let us face our doubts.

Session One

Desperate Households
Jesus Christ wants to transform the way you live your life.
Matthew 11:28–30; 23:1–4

Jesus offers true rest and a different way of life that will transform our relationships.

Session Two

Extreme Makeover
God wants to makeover our work to become about touching the lives of other people.
Nehemiah 4:1–17; 5:1–12; 6:15–16; 8:9–17

As we trust God to show us what's important, we will get the point of why he has us on earth.

Session Three

The Apprentice
Jesus Christ wants us to be his apprentices.
Matthew 16:21–26; 20:17–28; John 13:3–17

True greatness and significance are found in a life of serving God and others.

Session Four

CSI: My Faith
We need to face our doubts, use our reason, and build our relationships.
1 Kings 18:36–39; 19:1–18

Doubt, rationality, and relationships are all crucial parts of a person's faith journey and spiritual growth.
