Starting or Restarting a Ministry

I want to start a small group as a way to grow spiritually with several of my friends. Where do I begin?

Encourage communication and honest input from those considering involvement in the group. It is important to have shared vision for the purpose of the group, with clear expectations for commitment. This brings self-ownership and identity for each member more effectively than developing a singular idea as the leader and expecting full agreement with the plan.

Get with your friends and plan to start to meet consistently togeather. Dont start this group with the mindset that this will be my accountability group and we aer going to grow in the Lord togeather and then let that desire fade away after time due to lack of commitment. Get together meet, talk, read the Word, and pray. Being consistent is key. If you truely stick with the small group and agree to keep each other accountable even if it means calling each other out, i believe that your small group will help you and your friends out greatly.

The Lord is leading me to finally put into place a group of women of faith struggling with divorce, custody and the challenges of managing being a single person again. Living as one in a relationship that was meant for 2. Being divorced for over 20 years, having gone through this and making my own mistakes along the way, I wish I'd had something like this back then. I have prayed about this and know it's time to get started. I need help launching. I am a member of a mega church congregation which I love and feel at home and fed at. But this is for me. God has made it clear this is what He wants me to do.

AHH FOR ME,,,, THE HEART OF DISCIPLESHIP IS GOD-CENTERED FRIENDSHIP SO START ON ENGAGING , CONNECT TO ALL, HAVE A VISION SO THAT PEOPLE WILL NOT PERISH AND THE VERY IMPORTANT IS THIS... WE OUR GOD'S WALKING BIBLE/ TESTIMONIST AND I BELIEVE ON THAT AND I KNOW ITS HARD COZ WE'RE DOING GOD'S MINISTRY... AND THIS MINISTRY IS ON GOD SO WE CANT DO IT WITH OUR OWN..... I SUGGEST FOR US TO GROW OUR SMALL GROUP IN OUR WORKINGPLACE THE SAME WAY AS OUR WALK WITH GOD,,, I SUGGEST THAT WE SHOULD HAVE OUR OWN QUITE TIME FIRST WITH GOD AND HAVE AN ACCOUNTABILITY OF SOMEONE WHO IS AHEAD OF US MAYBE YOUR LEADER, PASTOR, FOR US NOT TO DRAINED SPIRITUALLY,, FOR US NOT TO BE A STARVING BAKER, WE OUR THE ONE WHO GIVE BREAD BUT FIRST WE HAVE TO EAT FIRST THE BREAD BEFORE WE SHARE.....
