It's important to keep in mind that groups normally don't fail just because of chosing the wrong model. You always need to wrestle with your mission, vision, and values before choosing a model. The model simply is the framework that your mission, vision, and value fit inside of. So before picking any model, figure out what the purpose of small groups are in your context, have a vision of what you want groups to look like once they are up and going. And, know what your church values, what you will take bullets for. If you have a good handle on these things, then look for models or small group systems, or create your own hybrid system that will allow your mission, vision and values to function well. Then, perhpas most importantly, keep your mission, vision, and values in front of people all the time. Teach it, model it, live it. Your model will flow out of that. Your model might even stay fluid over time, but that's OK. Because you are not relying exclusively on the model.
