Jack Hayford on the Goodness of God

Jack Hayford on the Goodness of God

No matter where we are or what we've done, Jesus' work on the cross is able to cover and restore us.

Author and pastor Jack Hayford reminds us that no matter where we are or what we've done, Jesus' work on the cross is able to cover and restore us. The love he has for us is always accessible, and always worthy of our thanksgiving!

Session One

God Is Ever-Present
Whatever our circumstances, we must see that Jesus is here.
Revelation 1
The Book of Revelation is a personal letter from Jesus to his church. It is also a letter to me. It's a challenge for us to capture the prophetic significance of the book, but still gain its personal implications for our lives.

Session Two

God Accepts Us as We Are
When we partake in Communion, we should remember that Jesus' death provides us with forgiveness and strength for each day.
1 Corinthians 11:23–24
The principles we learn in Communion are applicable for Christian life in general. During this time of reflection, we should always examine our hearts as we remember the purpose of Christ's death, but we should also be aware that God accepts us as we are because of what Christ did for us.

Session Three

God Is Always Merciful
God's love is active, ongoing, and the basis for our thanksgiving.
Psalm 118
People have often said: "I know the Lord forgave me when I received Jesus as my Savior. But so many things have happened since then. Where do I stand now? I know he gave me a clean page. I imagine it's pretty smudged by now." But God's mercies endure forever.
