Empty Arms

Empty Arms

Infertility causes us to lean on and trust God, even when our hearts ache.

Overview

Children are a blessing. But God doesn't bless everyone with children. Some hope and pray for a family and God graciously grants their request. And yet others continually go before God's throne petitioning him for a child, only to be met by deafening silence. They see friends praising God for their pregnancies and months later welcoming little ones into their homes and hearts. Even innocent questions, like, "How many children do you have– serve as painful reminders of a club the infertile wish to join but are forbidden. How can we be encouraged when our arms remain empty?
